Lisa's Little Life Lessons - Do It Anyway

I heard this for the first time the other day. It has stuck with me and I want to share it with all of you.

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.

-this version is credited to Mother Teresa

It is said that this was found written on the wall in Mother Teresa's home for children in Calcutta. It seems to be based on a composition originally by Kent Keith, I found it at: http://prayerfoundation.org/mother_teresa_do_it_anyway.htm

Wow what a powerful quote! Thank you for posting it. It is great to be reminded of how we should act no matter what the circumstances, especially with all of the negativity now we need to remember it's not about us, it's about Him!!

I am glad that you liked the quote. It has helped me to not back down this week when it seemed like I might have done that in the past. It gives me a feeling of confidence and competence. We all need these kinds of reminders.

This is an amazing quote, very powerful and true. There are so many people that begrudge others successes and feel that whatever they, or anyone else does it is not enough, but we should all do our best anyway!
For any who is reading this know that I believe we can all do anything we put our minds to, I believe in you!
